No. 19 - Crochet Phone Case

Made this one for Sean, using Red Heart Miami 5-ply 100% cotton yarn and 3.25mm hook (I think).

The pattern called for houndstooth hdc stitch but I just couldn't do the first pull through first loop on hook (like slip stitch). So I settled for simple hdc stitches all the way around.

From this project it's really obvious that the type of yarn makes a huge difference to the project. Cotton has beautiful stitch definition, and gives a clean finish. The acrylics vary greatly between brands, even at the same price point. The best acrylics are still fluffier looking than cotton, and have some stretch to be more easily worked.
